Give It a Flick! Parents are encouraged to not drink for the month of June in an attempt to raise funds for the end of year trophy’s and celebrations. The idea is for all parents to get sponsored by friends or family and rolemodel healthy lifestyle choices for the benefit of their children and the community.

Welcome to Give It A Flick for Auskick 2012!

Here we are at the beginning of AFL 2012!  You're probably here because your child has joined an Auskick Centre, or you may be here because you are supporting family or friends that have joined up.  For whatever reason you've found your way to Give it A Flick for Auskick - Welcome!

Give It A Flick... was a idea for a fundraising opportunity that started at the Montrose (Vic) NAB AFL Auskick Centre in 2011 with the parents getting behind their children, raising $2000 in the month of July...resulting in all proceeds going to our end of year function and trophy's.  It doesn't matter how big or small your group is, this is a great way to add to your Auskick centre's potential.

Parents took a month off drinking alcohol, felt fantastic, experienced individual benefits and modelled to their children that at any stage of the game you can choose to 'take a break'.

This blog has been designed so that you can share you're experiences during Give It A Flick and discuss with other participants how you are going, share what's working for you and enjoy what others are saying.

It's also a spot where you can reach me - Nia Allen, Give It A Flick Coordinator.  I'll update regularly, offer support, and hopefully encourage as many of you to support your centre and support your kids.

Most centre's are currently at registration stage right now and will shortly be hearing all about Give It A Flick for Auskick! I look forward to hearing from you and will shortly update you with a GAME PLAN to you and your center's winning path to a successful fundraising event.

Best of Luck and I hope you and your family have great Auskick 2012!

Nia Allen

  1. A great fundraising idea with all the money raised going directly back into the clinic

  2. What a great way to support the kids, and show them that the team is much bigger than who's on the field. As grandparents who live a long way away, we can GiveItAFlick, and put the money back into the clinic, support the kids and do ourselves some good. Well done,Giveita Flick.
